# Checkly CLI v6.0.0

## CheckGroupV2 replaces CheckGroup

The new `CheckGroupV2` construct makes group settings like `runParallel`, `locations`, `alertEscalationPolicy`, and `retryStrategy` optional instead of always enforced. Groups can now act more like folders, with zero config shared. The previous `CheckGroup` construct is deprecated. Update with `npm install checkly@latest`.

## Smarter construct handling

The CLI now processes constructs more efficiently, with better error reporting that surfaces multiple issues at once, faster performance, and filtering that only bundles the checks you need. The change is backward-compatible, but custom constructs, code that accesses internal construct fields, or code that relies on constructs throwing errors immediately may need updating.

## Also shipped

- **File deduplication:** Shared files referenced by multiple checks are now uploaded once, reducing upload size and allowing far more checks per project.
