The Checkly Values

We're building the future of monitoring as code. Join us on our mission to help developers build better software.

We Talk To Customers

We talk to customers, to understand their needs and to help them succeed. We're a small team, so we can be flexible and responsive to our customers.

Focus

Transparency guides and enables us on many fronts. Team: company strategy, decisions, async working. Candidates: public employee handbook, hiring playbook and pay calculator. Customers: pricing.

We are reliable and trustworthy

Customers need to trust us, when they lost trust in themselves. We trust each other, are transparent and inclusive, own our work and mistakes, ask for and give help, and don't avoid uncomfortable conversations to help each other improve.

We ship results and follow up

We are proactive and deliver work, communication and features that make an impact.

We assume good intentions

People have many sides. Stories have many sides. Don't judge before learning and listening.

Where we've been around the world

We love being a distributed company and all the advantages it brings us. At the same time, we know there's nothing quite like the energy of coming together in person to connect, collaborate and align. That's why we organize two retreats each year.

Working at Checkly

Most of our team works remotely from 16+ countries, with flexible working hours. We've got a sales team in our NYC office, who are great at balancing sync working with each other and customers, and async working with the rest of the team.

Don't work here if...

  • …you need meetings to communicate and make decisions. We write proposals on Notion, keep track of our work in tickets, and share updates with the team in Slack.

  • …you're not up for a challenge. We need people with focus, speed and adaptability to join us in changing the monitoring and observability world with our as-code approach.

  • …you say that's not my job. We are a relatively small team and pride ourselves helping each other to reach our goals. We win together.

  • …you're uncomfortable with transparency. We believe that good collaboration, alignment across teams, and achieving goals comes from a high level of transparency.

  • …you don't assume good intentions. We come from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds. For most of us, English is not our native language, and a lot can get lost in written communication. Assuming good intentions is essential to good collaboration.

You'll fit right in if...

Team members socializing at a company event
…You can’t say no to a good burger. You’ll have to go to Burgermeister if you visit our raccoons in Berlin.
Celebrating 100 customers milestone with gold balloons
…You enjoy deep philosophical discussions, like: “Is it a Semla?” (Pssst, a burger is shape traditionalist and content rebel)
Team building activity at the beach
…Or if you run, bike, do yoga, lift weights, do pilates — like to move your body.
