DNS Monitors

Published

Now resolving: DNS monitoring

DNS monitors are now available on all plans. They track the resolution and lookup times of your DNS records, helping you catch misconfigurations, expired records, and resolver latency issues. Use them to detect when a domain stops resolving, verify records against a specific DNS server (e.g. 1.1.1.1 for Cloudflare), monitor DNS response times, and track latency across regions.

Fully integrated with Monitoring as Code

Configure the domain and record type, optionally override the default DNS server (8.8.8.8), and define assertions on response time, return codes, or string matches in the DNS response. Available as DnsMonitor in the CLI (v6.9.0+), checkly_dns_monitor in Terraform (v1.16.0+), and checkly.DnsMonitor in Pulumi (v2.7.0+).
